Question by Alienzru: Want to move out of the United States permanently, have no job overseas lined up, is it possible?
I’m trying to find a way to move out of this country pemanently without having a job or a place to live already lined up overseas. Can I do it and which countries can I do it in

Just as USA doesn’t want someone to come in without a job or a way to make a living, other countries also don’t want that. It is called freeloading, and jail is usually the first place you will live.
Best to work for a company here that has overseas satellites. Then get a transfer. They will get your work visas, etc. in the country you are in.
You can also try to get work on your own over there, but it is difficult. If you are a teacher, moving is quite easy, as a lot of countries want teachers to teach English to their citizens. So, it depends on what you are doing now. It would have been more informative if you had included that in your question.
I just returned from living 10 years in Holland, and it was not the glamorous “living in Europe” situation it would seem. I had no friends, had to learn a new language, etc. All countries are having immigration problems, so you will be just one more immigrant, unless you are in a working environment right away.
Good luck. As I say, not knowing your age (21 and 40 would be different answers), your career field, etc. makes it difficult to respond.
There are pluses to living overseas though. Find a country you are passionate about, and go from there. If you are not good with languages, pick an English-speaking country. Do your research and Good Luck.

Should I move my retirement account?

Question by dancergalny: Should I move my retirement account?
I’ve lost over k in my retirement account since the recession. Should I change investment accounts before it’s all gone? Or should I hope for the market turn around and leave it where it is? It’s currently in a T Rowe Price Roth account. I’ll be retiring in about 30 years or so. Thanks in advance!

But, what type of fund(s) are you invested in? T Rowe Price is a mutual fund company that has many, probably several hundred, different types of mutual funds.

What you should be invested in has as much to do with you as it does how the market is performing. You have to find the risk/reward level that you can live with.

And I’d be thrilled to only be down K. But, I’m closer to retirement than you are, so I don’t have as much time for the market to come back as you do.

Question by : Should Americans who move overseas to live be stripped of their US Citizenship permanently?
Hey, if they don’t want to support our country and contribute to our domestic economy and pay taxes like the rest of us, why should they get assistance for State Department services and the privileges that go along with holding an American Passport?
