Is it stupid to like a girl across the country, when we met overseas?

-

Question by MusicMaster: Is it stupid to like a girl across the country, when we met overseas?
I met a super sweet girl overseas, and where we live, we’re almost across the US from each other. Only facebook and phone numbers keep us in limited contact. Is there a chance we could meet up again? I dunno if she likes me back… what is a smart approach to find out?

do nothing. just keep your passport active for the country you are a citizen of. If you want that nationality.

you can also be stateless. meaning you have no nationality. you just live in Thailand as a resident. but then you will not be able to travel very much. so be careful

What was your experience like travelling overseas alone?

-

Question by Nothing But The Rain: What was your experience like travelling overseas alone?
I’m in my early teen years and I’m planning to take a plane overseas to Asia by myself. I have ppl I know living there and I’m gonna be staying with them. I’m a bit scared because of the language barrier. My worst fear is having to make stops and trasferring, because it sounds super confusing.
What was your experience like?

I’ve travelled quite a lot on my own, mostly in Europe. As far as airports go, most airports have signs in English, and information desks with people who speak at least a little English so you can always ask for help.

It’s good to look (and print out) at a map of the airport/s you are going to be travelling through before you go. These are usually available on the airline’s website or directly on the airport’s website. Then you can have a general idea of where you are going.

Try and learn a few phrases in the language of the country or area you are travelling to. Just simple things like how much, airport/train/bus station, toilets, map or other words you think you might need. It might be handy to have a phrase book too to help you.

I am sure the people you are going to be living with will be really helpful to you, they will know all about the area and everything so they can give you tips.

As far as the language barrier goes, I have never really had trouble with this!! Grab a phrase book or learn some phrases or words, and then you can mostly get along with sign language, or show them in your phrase book what you are trying to say. The main thing is to persist and stay calm and try not to get too frustrated. You’ll learn quickly how to communicate.

Have an awesome time, it’s a great experience to travel!!
