Anyone have any advice on how to start a career teaching overseas at international schools?

-

Question by kanman5000: Anyone have any advice on how to start a career teaching overseas at international schools?
I’ve always dreamt of living overseas (I’m from New York) and I’m looking to become a teacher, either in English as Second/Foreign Language or History…so I figure teaching overseas at international schools would be the perfect way for me to pursue both of my ambitions. Question is: how do I achieve both goals? Any advice or thoughts would be welcome, thanks.

One of the biggest organizations that hires people overseas is DODDS – the Dept of Defense Schools. THere are thousands of teachers in Europe and the Pacific and the pay and benefits are sweet! It’s a tough gig to get into though. Helps alot if you have special ed, ESL, or some other special certificate. THe dodds website has all of the info. www.dodea.edu

Question by coohkieman24: Mainland portion of El nido, Palawan, Philippines for sale! anyone interested?
This is my second time posting this because i had it wrong the first time bcoz i didn’t consult my parents first. The land area is: 92,231 Sq.m Total sales value: 8,924 the mainland portion is located at El nido, Palawan, Philippines. It has a long stretch of powdery white sand beach(300 meters) ideal for a resort. Since it’s in El nido “Palawan” you can rest assure that the place is gorgeous. My dad wants to sell it so that he and my mom can now retire. so im just helping them out. If you’re interested just send me an email.

Why you selling it? Put up a Business, like a Beach House/Complex or something.
